reverse glow gauges

Does anyone have these or heard of them? Has anyone installed these and if so how hard is it? Do you have to remove the needles?

I'm a little confused just because the price is very low and no explanation is given.

Thanks for the responses in adavance

I bought these... http://www.procarparts.com/store-det...82FB%2D3293RGX

I took my needles off but, that's because I changed the needle paint to white and installed blue LED's for the backlighting. I also had to 'recalibrate' the info gauges anyways.

You could probably get by w/o having to remove the tach or speedo and just one needle on the dual gauges.

Here's my pretty gauges...

*edit... before I forget.. if you have an 8k tach... you'll need to switch out to a 6k tach. I didn't pay attention to this originally and it took a little bit for the hampsters to turn the wheel before I figured out why the tach was so off compared to speed/engine sound.

And in my 91 sits an 8k tach.

As you pointed out, you had to switch them. So...yeah, I'd say theres a difference between the two.

I meant no as in, they are not physically (dimensionally) different. People cannot read minds.. I know.

V8.. if you have a 6000 rpm tach, you're fine. If you have an 8k tach, it needs to be switched to a 6k. The overlay is for the 6k tachometer.

What happens with the needles at night? (With the procarparts.com stuff above) In their website illustration of the night shot I can't see the needles. Do they appear at night, or do you have to do something to them to see them?

.... Just noticed you have a camaro. Since you said you 'got some of these' as well.. I mistakenly figured they were going on a 'bird since the post is focused towards them.

Just put the overlays on and enjoy.
The original gauge backlighting will still light the needles.
There is a transformer for the gauges that has to be wired into a 12v source though.

put some in my camaro i took the backlight out of the gauge cluster cause they were shing through the overlays, i also left the needles on and slid the faces over them also recommend putting like double sided tape on the back to hold them on, just wire them into a fuse that comes on with the dash lights

i ordered a set of these for my cavalier z24, i dealt with autodynasty on ebay, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER, I paid for my gauges the day of the auction ending and waited 3 months for them to show up, i called them everyday after the "delivery date" and all they told me was that they were in the mail, they even gave me a conformation number and the page stated that they were delivered for over a month. So after fighting with them, giving them negative feedback, i got a refund and a week later i got my gauges, and then another few days later i got a second set of gauges, they were very easy to install but the first set stopped working after about 8 months. I plan on getting a set for my IROC-Z and having my friend make me some custom vinyls to attach to the white face, who did everybody get their overlays from?? i see them all over ebay and i am still a bit nervous about paying and having the same troubles i did with autodynasty. BTW they are located out of Cali.
