Hello I was wondering what is the blue color called that came on the 91 birds. I'm geting my car repainted here soon and I'm trying to find a paint I like. Also any tips on picking out a good body shop to do the work.

 

I know the blue for the Camaros was code 98 Ultra Blue Metallic.
I'm sure it was the same for the birds. I don't have a WA number,
I'll try to get one at work tomorrow.

 

THe light blue like in the above pic was called Maui Blue, or Silver Blue Metallic

K thx. I looked at that pic it is not that blue I have seen on the firebirds I like. Its the same color as in the pic I attached.

 

Don't forget about Medium Quasar Blue Metallic... very nice blue with almost a color change effect under certain lights.

How bad is the car?
We only take on maybe 1 restoration every two years, but my guys do a top notch job.

 

house of kolor 3 stage cobalt candy blue, not an easy paint job.

hok does have a line called KBC or kandy base coat that mimiks candy and would give you a 2 stage base clear that would come out as nice.

i think the quasar blue is close also

THis is Richard Palmers 1991 Formula darker blue

K thx every on the one I was looking for was the bright blue metallic that okfoz posted. thx again for all the help now I have a few blues to look at but I think I will probly do the bright blue.
