Big junkyard score...

Hey guys, i finally got new seat covers for my car.

I went to the junkyard asked the guy how much for a whole set of seats he said $225. So i got the grand idea to take the covers ff the seats and leave the foam in theyard, the whole set soon became $20. Awesome stuff.

Now i have a full black interior setup.... So cool guys, sooooo cool....

Pics tomorow, or when i find my camera, it still packed from me moving.

just take some plies and undo all the hog pins and they come right off.

There are a few bolts for the hardware on them but a 13mm socket gets those done.

and nice pair of vice grips helps in one other part, i didn;t bring the vice grips, i just had some regualr high torque pliers that helped me out.

dont worry if they are wet or whatever, cause since its just the covers you can put them in the washer like i did so they are squeeky clean now. And that old water smell is gona after i put some snuggle in the wash.

i had a somewhat similar incident. i ran across what seemed to be a once stright 91-92 T/A-GTA and it had a superb dash pad, asked the counter guy what he wanted for it , i paid right then. when i walked out with it i turned it around so he couldnt say anything and i had myself a $10 perfect dash pad!!!

I hate to say it but I think Shane has finally had an intelligent post.

When we're bored, me and my friend do a search on the boards for 'Shane' just for a laugh.

I was sorely disappointed this time.

nah, i had some really long handled pliers, that i gripped the one screw that normally needs an allen wrench, except i didn't bring one, stupid me, so i used them, vice grips would abeen better...

i'll get pics tomorow guys, i brought the camera with me to work and never even remembered why, when it was too dark i had remembered but it was too dark....

Just a tip guys ,Be extremely careful when putting the seat covers in the washer.I had a nice set of 87 fiero gt seat covers I got from a yard the car had a sunroof and must have had years of sun they felt somewhat dry but I threw them in the wash to get the stains out and the washer ripped them up pretty bad.

Wait for it.

I will request pics of the engines, intakes et al that I've had to read about though. Would put to rest some of the bs flags that have gone up.

So Mikey, did you swap all the plastics too or are you talking carpet and seat covers only.

Oops my bad i guess i should have looked at the date a little closer but when there is a new thread each day that gets posted about your projects its kind of hard to keep them seperated....

Is this the first one that has been completed in the last month ??
