Should I change the color of my interior plastic?
I've had several people mention to me about maybe changing the plastic in my interior to a different color....the color as my roll bar and stereo, which is a tectured metallic graphite coated with flat clear coat. I think it would match over all....BUT, here is the catch. The 6X9 speaker covers, headliner, and carpet will have to stay the same...because...I don't know of a graphite dye....plus..I really don't dig spray my whole headliner and carpet. So....do you guys have any input? I'll include a few pictures...

That's a danm clean interior you've got there! If you do change the plastic color, the grey on your sails and such may provide a nice contrast. maybe someone could 'chop it...

If you plan on painting it I'd say don't change the color. If you replace it properly then I say go for it. Also, those sail panels are like $10-$20 on ebay. Headliner is a different story though.

I would leave it for now.It looks really good as is.If you were to change it then I would wait till you need a new headliner and do it all then.

thanks for the input guys. If you look in the hatch...the hatch area only, you see 2 different shades of grey. The "graphite" that I sprayed my stereo equipment with and the grey plastic. What if I could actually spray the grey plastic the same color of the stereo...and some how have like a cut off where it enters the interior (right behind the sail panel area)? Like this:
by the way, this looks like hell, not sure if anyone else can do a better job

and you can see where it would be taped off...right before it enters the main interior, exiting the hatch area.
