custom dash for 3rd gen t/a WTB

I would love to get some sort of aftermarket dash for a 3rd gen T/A that I could put all my Autometer guages in. anyone know of a place to get one or know of someone that makes something like this?????? I would want to still use my original dash pad, the heater vents could be eliminated except for the windshield defrost vents. I would have to be able to install 5 2 5/8 guages and 2 5 inch guages. I am very open to just about any sugestion as long as its not some hoakey mock job.

sounds like a custom job for you to fabricate. There's no product out there that fits exactly what you're looking for. I've seen several people make custom gage panels for 3rd gen Camaros using a sheet of aluminum and machining it. Some kept the aluminum look, others have painted it black. There's no reason this can't be done with a Firebird too. If there isn't enough room to lay out all your guages in the stock guage area, you can block off the left and center heater vents and install guages there. Also, you can buy guage pods that attach into the a-pillar trim piece that hold either 2 or 3 guages. The possibilities are pretty much endless.

it definitely looks good, but I'd suggest making one yourself rather than paying someone else to do it. It doesn't look all that hard... he opened up the two right side circles into an oval, laid in a piece of plastic or metal, and installed aftermarked guages. The guages were probably pricey though! Besides, you get a great feeling of accomplishment when you make something yourself.

you could probably get a couple gauges the size of the black peice of plastic that goes over the gauges and just have them mounted to fit in the holes already there, only problem I would think would be mounting smaller gauges for the oil pressure, voltage, gas, and temp in the stock positions.....least that's what I'm gonna try and do.
