Not much you can do but replace it now. It's been mentioned here a million times that Armor All will cause the dash to crack. It's garbage!!

so what is the best thing to do to prevent the dash from cracking besides covering it? Is there anything besides armorall to put on it to keep it from drying up?

well ur first mistake was using Armorall. that stuff drys out ur dash enless u use it religously. go with like blakc magic or something other then Armorall.

in the past winters i dont put anything onthe dash pad. becuz this way theres no moisture or any product thats on there that will dry out with the winter and end up crackin it.

sorry to hear about your luck, I cracked mine last winter with my knee, shattered the corner of it. I didn't hit it hard, but it was just cold enough to break

Even better, at that time I had a mint condition dash pad downstairs I had already promised to my aunt for her 90RS.

At least I have my word

I have found tat leather conditioners work very well for vinyl and plastics. I use 3M or Meguiar's leather conditioner on all my cars

armorall is water based crap.

Use the black magic, clear oily stuff. comes in clear bottle, tire, rubber.....

soak it on and leave it for hrs during hot days.
Your dash will never crack.

Armor-all = bad.
Leather & Vinyl Conditioner = good.

Exactly. I use the same thing, I tried it once a while ago when I was doing my seats and was impressed so I stuck with it.
