Best way to get dirt out of cloth seats?
I got a pair of seats which have had dirt on them for a couple years, I was wondering, what's the best way to rid of all of that without redying the seats or taking the cloth off? Thanks.

After you get them clean......take a bath.....will help them to stay clean...
I like the steam cleaning idea. Chemicals always leave residue to deal with. A good steam cleaner can do the seats really cheap. Sometimes it is almost as cheap as buying those chemicals.

i bought a set of fourth gen seats that where in bad need of cleaning. moldy and every thing. for $20 i figured it was worth trying to save them. i took the covers off and put them in the washer, 3 times, and then i let them air dry over night. results:

After you get them wet with whatever you decide to clean them with, beat 'em with something. I use an old police style billy club for this. It will help bring the dirt to the surface. I read about this in some car mag once and it works!

The bristles on the brush of the presone can were quit soft but yet stiff compared to the other brands brushes on their cans, theirs felt all hard and looked like they might damage my cloth.
I have a horror story about my seats. Somebody that was not very hygenic drove my car before me and the stains that he left were terrible i tried every cleaning agent on them possible. I managed to salvage the back seats but the front need to be recovered. I'll post them when i'm done.
