I don't think they're rare at all. I've seen them on several cars.

I had Fuel Injection stickers on my door handles untill they fell off about a year ago.

i had them till maaco repainted it and they didn't mask them. I then pulled the painted over handles, and scrounged the yards for a while until i could find a good set of fuel injection handles (took forever) and finally swapped em over. I don't think they're rare, however, i think they were really common on the earlier model fuel injected vehicles. I'd be assuming CFI cars, and MPI/TPI cars from the earlier years (probably 85 and 86) by the time fuel injection was common across the board, and GM wasn't trying to sell a car going "IT'S FUEL INJECTED!!!" the tags probalby disappeared.

I saw that GM also made special door handles for the 1982-84 Recaro Trans Ams that read "RECARO T/A"

I'll see if I can relocate where I saw them.

IIRC all fuel injected cars up to '87 had the Fuel Injection inserts. My Blue '83 T/A with CFI has them.

Recaro T/A inserts came on the Y84 cars 82-84.
