Looking for an opinion. I am thinking of changing the spoiler on my convert. I found a spoiler off a (gasp!!!) mitsu 3000GT that looks good just set in place. I need to modify the quarter peices to make them flat in the back. The ends of the new spoiler angle down and wrap around the quarters. Sorry, I cant post pics as I computer ignorant. BTW I still have the origanal spoiler and a spare set of quarter peices to turn it back.

 

if u do modify your spoiler it will be really expensive to fix and good luck finding them again.

HEHEHEHEHE. I thought that might get me banned or beat within an inch of my life. (Now, where'd I put that ruler??) I have a complete origanal spoiler and spare quarter peices. I only intend to mod the spares, so i can more or less put it back to stock anytime. As for as the 3000GT wing goes, it kinda looks like a Trans Am GTA wing. Hope that puts me back in the good graces of the forum.

 

What year is it from?

 

The 3000GT wing is from a 96 or so. I'm sorry, I do not have the ability to post pics. (computer ingnoant). If it werent for my 9yr old I couldnt turn it on. LOL! Maybe someone can photoshop one. I just have to shave the upward turn in the side peices and make them flat.

I've been debating on ripping the spoiler off my girlfriend's old Ford Probe before we call someone to come and haul it away.

 

That probably would look okay. It does look like the 91-92 Z28 spoiler, but smaller. Couldn't hurt to try it. Just make sure that's the only Mitsubishi part you use though...

I've thought about putting that same spoiler on my Trans Am many times but it's prob. never gonna happen so I say do it

 

I see a 3000gt almost everyday. Do you have the mitsu spoiler? If not I could take measurements for you. I have to park next to it with my vert all the time. I don't know how well the rounded edges of the mitsu will blend with the bird though.

 

JDubya18, I think that wing is off a late model mustang. Yes I have the mitzu wing, thats why I'm thinking of slapin' it on my vert. With it sitting in place the ends just curl down over the quarters. Once I mod my quarter caps and extend the legs a couple of inches it'll bolt right on. I'll also need to fill the indention in the trunk lid but what the heck. I've been debating on putting a wide body kit on as well. I'm not sure I want to ruin my car THAT much. I've also found an 87 Trans am I'm thinking of picking up to do a 5speed swap.

 

I've always wondered what some sort of widebody setup would look like. Post pics if you try it.
