Anyone know what i can use to get rubber off of the rear quarters?

looks like the person i bought the car from was a little to happy doing burnouts.

I'd immagine that a good "Bug + Tar" remover would do the trick....that and some elbow grease :-P
I've heard that PAM is good for keeping rubber from sticking to body panels.....i guess ya spray it on and the rubber wipes right off......guess it makes senes, lol

 

yeah somone mentioned bug & tar remover i might try that.
just don't want to screw up the paint.

how bad is the rubber ? bug and tar remover will only work till a point and then it is useless lol. i went to autozone and got a bottle of "preps all" its what painters used on cars bfore they spray then to get anything on the primer off.... i just let it soak for a few and then scrubbred it off,a nd worked better then anything else i had tried, and i tried alot.

 

Find a cleaner with d-limonene. Citri-Sol?? I had to prep a concrete floor for an epoxy paint and it was the only stuff that could take off the rubber from forklift burn-outs. You may want to try on a hidden area to make sure the paint won't come off. Great for taking off factory undercoating. More info:

Ronsonol lighter fluid works on tire rubber and even better on VHT that gets on your paint.

 

goes so well with a thirdgen owner....lol I used to do them at my old job
