Check it out!!!

They have lots of good stuff there, like nitrous switches, and panels with switches built into them that replace whole panels. It a pretty good deal.

while were posting things like this, does anyone else have any sites with custom switches? Im thinking about adding a box in my car, but all i can think of is a trans brake, (im not spraying it) fan, but what other switches can I add?

Flat rockers are pretty self explainatory. Switches that "rock" back and forth between two/three positions; those ones happen to be flat.

I was referring to the "fuses and stuff". You've got no business wiring up a nitrous system let alon plumbing it if you don't have an undertanding of a simple electrical circuit.
To answer the question, the fuses come pre-wired on those panels and are there to prevent a fire or damage to your expensive components in the event of a dead short, voltage spike or other malfunction. They're usually found in the circuit betweent the +12v. source and the switch. HTH.

Theres no need to knock him down a notch, he simply asked a question. I agree that you should try and learn a little bit more about the subject before you go and install a nitrous system into your vehicle. If something is not done properly you could end up blowing your motor or yourself up.

that's ok, cause he said in his previous post that he is NOT spraying the car, so your right, he shouldn't be plumbing nitrous.

The flat rockers are just that- flat! :-) And you can close the ashtray lid when they are installed. Or if you have the B & M Shifter switch panel- it just looks good. Here's mine in my car...

Thats looks awsome, did you do those flames yourself? Can someone help me with pictures or info, I need to make a decision.
I shaved my door handles so now I want to install theese yellow 1-time push switches but I wanted to install some other switches while I was at it. Wheres the best place to mount theese switches, is it unsafe to mount the one for my door in case I accidently hit it, should I use the stock plastic switches they gave me in the solonoid kit and what else might I need switches for in the near future? I dont plan on doing many engine modifcations for a while so I wont need any cut-off switches probably. I may be doing a small 50 shot of nitrous until I toast my 305.

Nah- I wish! And this thing is even cooler looking in person- pics just don't do it justice. Here's the plate with the custom gauge panel that I also had made by Jimmy Jam's then had it painted.

I updated alot to my last post which I sent after you responsed to let you know. Have you installed those in your car yet and if you do can you send me pictures? Are those powdercoated because it looks a little funky for reg paint. How much did he charge you for the two pieces and did any of those have custom work done such as the holes in the shifter plate for the buttons?

I posted quite a few pics here
https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=282952
and you can see more here- such as the gauge panels and their cost here -
http://jimmy-jams.tripod.com/3gcamarobmplates.htm
I haven't installed them yet but I will post pics when I do. I still have to get the rest of my Nordskog gauges to go in my gauge panel. The gauge panel is powdercoated mini tex (texture like the stock one) and includes the little blinker indicator lights and one for the brights also. No other custom gauges come with those. I'm 'with' Jimmy Jams so I asked for the panel to look a certain way and he made it. He can make anything really. My gauge panel was powdercoated flat black and then I sent it off to be painted and airbrushed.

On the jimmy jams page they covered a toggle switch with one of those red covers. You dont use a toggle switch for nitrous do you? I thought you used a push button or do you just give the toggle a quick flip?

I were talking about turning it on, on like actually spraying the nitrous oxide on? Whats the max you should probably have it on for? I know that question has alot of variables. So should I or shouldnt I mount a interior buttons for my door poppers and if so is it ok to put one in for my door just to match it up?

In most systems the covered toggle switch only "arms" the system by providing source power to the relay. The nitrous/fuel solenoids are only powered "on" when they get the power from the relay, which has another momentary enable switch (means push "on" and release "off". Usually, a nitrous system only flows gas at full throttle with a micro switch mounted somewhere on the throttle linkage. Usually only self timed multi stage systems will have a button for the driver to push to actually engauge the nitrous flow.Recap: Arm the system with the rocker switch, then flow nitrous at full throttle with the micro switch. If both switches aren't "on", then the system will not flow.
There is no time limit to how long you can flow nitrous on your car. As long as it's set up right, you can take it from standing start up to top speed with juice. The key is to set it up right...

So in the future would it be alright for me to get the carb switch and use those 2 others for activation and purge like mentioned above? Also, is it unsafe to keep your nitrous bottle open even if your system is off?
Let me get this straight, the bottle will run the nitrous through the lines, activation switch to run some power through your noids and everything, purge is for when you have oxygen? in the lines that you dont want, and the throttle switch will actually trigger the system?
p.s - I edited this after jams responded accidently

You have to have a purge to clear your nitrous line of air so that when you hit WOT (wide open throttle) and the activation switch is activated, the nitrous will come on (which was turned on by a flip switch beforehand). You don't really want to leave your nitrous on because it can wear your solenoids out or you could accidently activate it going down the road (hit a button accidently or something) and SAFETY always comes first.

Just give us a call so Jimmy can let you know when he'll be here because I KNOW He'll enjoy showing off the parts and talking with you. :-) Hell, we are only like 30 min from Macon (depending on how fast you drive LOL)!
We'll also be at the GAFBA shootout towards the end of the month and will have goodies with us. :-)

I use a "few". These switches incorporate an LED. Also, there's no need to use in-line fuses because I wire all my switches on the ground side of the circuit.

We are going to be at the Year One experience and then the Street Lethal shootout on that Sunday. Call Jimmy about making you a panel- I'm sure he can do something for ya. What sorta switch panel? We have the ashtray plates and several varieties of the B&M Shifter plates too. I'll PM you the number.

here is a pic of the panel i made a few years back, the one in my car now is similar but only has 2 switches intead of the 5. i really don't have the tools to do this properly and so my panels are a bit crude, but basically i need a b&m shifter panel with just 2 switches.
