Well, here's how she sits as of tonight. The underside of the hood is painted, the fenders and doors are jambed and all are back on the car. Jay still has to start on the bumper covers. I'm leaving the headlight doors red because it looks so cool.

 

Here's the driver's side door jamb. I think he said that was only 2 coats of clear. The exterior is getting 4 coats. Hey, that's not a stock Firebird doorhandle.

Weather permitting, it'll be blue within a week.

Kevin, we're going to finish in a tie; I know it. My jams were just painted 2 days ago, the body was supposed to get painted tonight. I'll try to get some new pics up soon. Yours is looking fabulous!

 

No i sanded the under side of the bumper. And sent the back one out to get striped.lol lot of hard work.. Hey how did the pics of under the hood turn out.. if good post one cuz on my cam they look crappy.

Nah, the closeups don't do the paint justice. There was dust on my camera lens and there's spots on a lot of the pics I took last night. This was the best underhood shot, and 1/2 the hood is not in the pic:

It's 94 Corvette Admiral Blue in Dupont base/clear. Wait til you see the scantily-clad latino girl I'm having airbrushed on the hood. Just kidding. She's actually nude.

 

You finally have a car that's all one color and you want to trade it off? BTW, I'm following in your wheel-swap footsteps again. I recently bought a set of gray-center GTA rims. It's good to have choices.

Definitely. Thanks for all your help too. I used www.deadbird.org to look stuff up when I didn't know how something went together. I also used it to get all my weatherstripping part numbers.

 

looking good....can't wait to get mine over there next to get painted up as well. although i'm going for a lot darker blue than you choose. so we'll have lots of new blue cars for denny's gathering in may. i can't wait.
