Well I want a 2" or less Cowl Induction Hood for my 1992 Firebird, but I cannot find them bloody anywhere. I have seen some of you with 2" and want to know where you got them.

While your at it, pictures of your cowl, 2" bigger or smaller, would be sweet.

Here's my 2 inch cowl. It's the best looking Cowl hood on the market in my opinion.

does the 2 inch give enough clearance for a 14 in air cleaner on top of a holley intake and carb?
i have been going back and forth on a 2 and 3.

i like the way the 2" looks but i think that i have either a 4 or 5 inch cowl. my old 91 had a 3" and i thought that was a good size. only reason for the 5" is cause it came with the car

I just sliced the body line on my camaro and raised the hood 3 inches on the sides and 3 and a half in the middle. The photo is what it looked like before I filled in the holes on the side and I have yet to paint the car and blend it, but so far on the car it looks mean. I did also do some angleing with the sheet metal. I hope to make a fiberglass mold of this too because it would suck to smash it after all the hard work.

hoogabooga,
My car has a 2 1/2 inch glasstek cowl hood, RPM airgap intake, holley carb and 3in drop base air cleaner...everything clears just fine. I've even had a 1in carb spacer on there too and everything still cleared. Hope that info helps.

How tall is the air cleaner? If the height of the air cleaner is just standard size, you should be able to clear it just fine with a 2" cowl.

they're nice, but not for $600. The pin on is cheaper, but it's a PITA. They say you need pins on all 4 corners b/c they're so light.
