headliner

headliner

is there any replacement headliner that doesn't have this part? is just smooth with no indentations..

hey, when i was looking for a new one, i could not find one without that, i went to the junkyard and got a decent back board out of a 91 for 30 bucks, i then recovered it, looks great!

thanks for the input but i don't have that option.. i'm considering just making the board as that's alot of money for the piece above to have to do more work to make it look factory...

I think my 1A Auto one was flat all the way around. I know I had to cut a hole for the interior light. I will have to look at it tomorrow.

o crap all aftermarket ones are like this , if i have to get a new one i dont like that indentation either, i want a flat one too . that sucks if their all like that .

Why can't you recover a stock one? It sounds like it's the only way you're going to get what you want. Recovering a non t-top headliner is a piece of cake.

because i can't find one in good shape here in my area and mine has the rear corners torn off. if i could get a good board to start with i would.

A damaged board can be repaired pretty easily. The one in my 86 actually had the rear corners break off when I removed it, so I used glue-soaked burlap to reinforce it. It worked great, and was not visible once it was recovered with new material.
