Weatherstrip Protection

Are there any products made just to protect and increase the life of weatherstrips? After replacing expensive weatherstrips it would help to protect them any ideas?

Tony

GM makes something just for that. It is REALLY EXPENSIVE ($50-$75 for a tiny bottle). PM on monday and I can get you a part # and correct price if you want.

vasoline or KY...... im serious.
rub it on thick, let it sit, then wipe it off before you go out.
stays nice and black and will even help old weatherstrip to an extent.

Silicones, greases, etc. attract too much dirt and grime.

303 Protectant works great for weather strip and for other things you'd normally put protectant on.
