Bnoon Gauge Trim Rings Arrived

I just got my trim rings in the mail. He sent them out Monday and arrived today, which is Thurs. They came fast and arrived packaged very well. In a small box with packing peanuts and with bubble wrap with two of them together and together. So they are packaged awesome and did a great job as a seller and shipper. I was impressed with how they arrived. Well I opened them up and they are great. The quality is awesome and they just look great and are everything I hoped. I have a bunch of pics so show off the before and after and I think they really look good. If you think they look good in the pics they really look better in the car in person. Thanks brad for finally making these. They really look great and you’re an awesome and easy person to deal with and I would do business with you again. Well i'm going to stop ranting and let the pics do the talking.

ive seen that stuff before on Powermites GTA. I love those and wish they were available to me when I had my GTA. One of the nicer appearance mods for a third gen in my opinion!

breaking news , they will fit the 82-84 but they stick out just a tad , i guess since the 85-whenevers are since in more , the 82-84 the plastic is closer to the face so they stick out just a tad. I got pics to illustrate it .

Thats a real nice touch but it would look even more awesome if you had black for the gauge bezels instead of gray, to make a nice contrast

About 10 screws. You need to take off the fog light bezel and a trim piece off in front of the passenger though.

Yeah I thought those looked pretty cool too, and I wanted to try and fabricate something similar for the Camaros, but the openings are bevelled and not a 90 degree angle like on the 'birds. So simple press fit wouldn't work on the Chevy side. However, Third-genners are a creative lot, and I'm sure we can come up with something!

Those look awesome! If they'd be milled down a little bit I'd get a set for my 82.

The openings on the birds aren't 90 degrees either. They're slightly beveled too, but the measurements I took for the trim rings were taken halfway down into the bevel, which is what makes the press fit work. Someone give me some measurements with pics and we can see what will work. If nothing comes up before the midwest F-body meet, I'll be measuring a Camaro or two at the meet...

Thanks for the advertisement in the first post man! Heheheheh...

Do you have a measurement on how far those rings stick out on the '82-'84??? I can get some made up shorter if enough people want them for those years, no problem.

Heheh, thanks. I'm not quite ready to start molding fiberglass yet, but if you want to pay to CNC machine one from billet, I can get that done! LOL! $$$,$$$.$$

Bnoon - those things are on my list to get done this year. Have you got any comparison shots betwen the different finishes yet?

They look great!

I've got a brushed vs bare CNC finish picture. Click a link above the thumbnail for a better view. I'll be polishing the other prototype ring today so that I have a pic of the three metal finishes.

Small pic --- Huge pic
