They are fairly easy to pry open with a flat screwdriver w/o causing any damage.

If the key cyl is just stuck, try shooting a small amount of spray lube in it. Sometimes works.. not always though.

um i might have mentioned the wrong thing. I'm talking about the 'container' between the seats(cant think of the word) The lid is stuck down, and i dont see how a screw driver could pry that open

Center console lid. It looks to me like you should be able to slide something thin (credit card maybe?) between the lid and the console to help push that latch back.

I've been trying that but the latch kinda goes down from where i can slide something in. Maybe something thin/flexible

Firebirds don't, Camaros had the latch. Not really a great feature, but it's ok. Tyler88 is wishing he bought a Firebird right about now.

Heh.. sorry man.. when I see 'glove box' I always think of the stupid storage compartment in the rear since it's been referred to as 'glove box' more than a few times.
My bad

Astoria is on the right track though. I had this problem with my old 84.. the latch/button snapped in two. I stuck an eyeglass screwdriver on the topside of the button and was able to push the latch back. From there.. the latch/button was replaced w/a junkyard piece and the catch ground off so I wouldn't have to screw with it breaking in the future.
