The louvres on my 84' are three piece. I don't know if they are aftermarket or not. The upper hinges on the main piece have the mounting bolts going right through the glass. It's the first car I've owned with louvres, so I am not sure. Are your's one piece louvres?

Do you have them off of the car yet?
If I recall correctly, my old set had bolts or screws of some type that would seperate the outer 2 side pieces from all of the center slats. It would break down pretty easily. It's been years since I have had that set tho......

ajtobutwicz...... is this the factory style louvers for the '91 Camaro's? If it is I am VERY interested!!!!!!!

$105? I paid $15 for my louvers and it cost me $15-20 to have mine shipped here.

Louvers on my 88 are three piece, aluminum in the center and plastic on the sides. Look to be glued together with a metal strip that is clinched to the slats also. Mine don't look like they would come apart without destroying them.

The factory louvers have small locking tabs on the edges of the side ABS that grab the slats. The slats are glued to the side ABS with a black silicone caulk. Seperating these will not be easy. If you look at the bottom side (window side), you'll see the small rectangular hole that the tabs lock into. If you seperate them, you'll probably need to clean all the adhesive off before they can be reassembled.

Zed'er, your louvers are aftermarket. The factory set installs somewhat quickly. There are 4 brackets that slide over the side of the rear window. They too have small locking tabs that hold them to the window trim. If they don't get spread apart at the window trim, the trim WILL be scratched when the brackets are removed. There are 2 brackets that slide over the trim at the top of the window. Those brackets have double sided tape to hold them in place also. There are also 2 screws welded to those brackets that allow the louvers' hinges to attach. Then the last 2 brackets sit on the window with double sided tape. This keeps them from rattling. They are anchored down very well.

Thats what mine look like, yes, they are the 100% factory original louvers.

Yeah, I kinda figured mine were aftermarket. I took a closer look at them, they are Shadow-something-or-other. They are aluminum, three piece louvres. The center section only connects to the side pieces with two locks at the bottom. Flip the locks open, and the center piece lifts up and has two support legs to hold it there for window cleaning. Still though, I took them off when I first got the car to clean them up, and I think it looks much better with them on.
