Sail panels that wanna sail away

Well, that pretty much says it all, I replaced the whole interior and these have got to be the simplest most troubling part. I cant get them to stay on with the windows down (let alone with the top off). I've bought like industrial velcro, and even that wont stick, anybody out there have a preferred fastener for these?

the covered peices that go over your speakers? they (are suppose) to have metal tabs that slide down into holes in the panel, then the clothes hanger thingy screws thru them in the top.. theres really no way they can blow away that way
good luck with velcro..

yeah, tabs would make more sense...too bad I think I threw them away. Coat Hangers would help out to.....but I think they're gone as well. But thanks for the help, I'll find some kind of way

Sail Panels are the panels that cover the 6x9 speakers on either side of the car in the back seat area.. and yea.. velcro bites for those things.. I resined tabs into mine and then make a fiberglass block (looks pretty good will have to get pictures of it someday. or sell them at some point when i get the full fiberglass interior...) Basically it just replaces the hanger part in the top and allows you to secure the top of it and then to put a wooden dowel cap (same thing used to cover screws in woodwork) so that it is a nice clean look

thats possible.. depends on if they have been taken off before. sometimes one of the clips on the back is not put back into it's space and it creates a buldge.. or an uneven area in the edge.

I had the same problem when I put a new interior in also. The few tiny squares of velcro they give you are worthless so just go and get the strongest velcro you can and put as much of it as possibly on. First make sure the adhesive side is firmly down otherwise it will peel off instead of the velcro. It should work, its working for me right now.
