blending paint

my red Z28 got scratched up by the next door neighbors car port that got tore up when some wind did a little damage to it so the body shop had to fill a few dings and repair about 4 scratches on the passanger door and one on the hood.the car was repainted in 93 due to the factory paint peeling.it had a beautiful factory red paint job put back on by the original owner.when i got it back the hood looked great could not tell at all but when you get along the side of the car and look down the side of the door it looks kinda weird like it is blurry-bad reflections kinda.i really dont know how to describe it dosent look smooth anyway can that be fixed without painting again thanks

They didn't wetsand the repair areas. Get it wetsanded and buffed and you should be good to go.

If you are seeing haze in the clear it has been wetsanded and just did not get buffed good enough. If you wetsand and buff new paint to early the clear will "breathe" and you will get haze.
I would try to buff it first.

You can wetsand as soon as 24 hours of the car being painted, so doing it too soon wont be an issue. But as mentioned i would try buffing it first and see what happens, and if needed i would take it to get wetsanded or do some research on how to do it yourself.

The key here is "you " shouldn't have to do anything...Take it back to the shop, lodge the complaint, Have them do the work...If the shop has any reputation, they will handle it hands down without a squabble.
Did they paint the whole side or just the hood and door?
Is the door the only issue? Or are there other problems that they didn't address as well?

what i have found is that when you wetsand buy hand, no matter what clear it is, it will always die out(scratch will come back leaving alittle haze). when you do it with a d/a it never dies out. but the solution to the problem is just buffing with some compound and finishing it with some glaze.

they touched up a long scratch that started on the right fender and run up the hood about 6-7 inches .they did a great job on that.then they repaired about 3-4 small dings and a couple of scratches on the door but like i said when you get behind the car and eye right down the side of it there is a funny reflection on the door-kinda looks blurry and not like a mirror which is what the rest of the car looks like.if you stand infront of the door and look at it head on it dont look that bad but it does look a little bland-kinda a bit tacky looking compared to the rset of the car.
