i want to see some ugly/unfinished cars
ive been driving my brown/half brown primer uglyness for a long time and its starting to bug me. it doesnt look like.... well you know.. as respectable or mature as even say a silver 02 cavailier.
its become ghetto and i dont get any compliments on it anymore.
it was nice when i got it.
i need to throw on some fenders, get the door bottoms done, and a quickie paintjob on it. the paint is chipping off my mirrors and front fascia. the primer was wearing off. at least its colour matched primer. the hood has some waves and a rust spot on it.
its ghetto. has an exhaust leak too so it sounds the part as well.

you can see the paint chips on the fascia, and the colour difference with the hood and fascia to the fenders. by big *** antenna (i have a replacment power antenna waiting for when i need to replace fenders). can also see my saggy headlights. i need a descent headlight bar with good buckets clips and springs. iknow theres one at the wreckers.
i know my rims look like hell too.
i have a solution to this though, i could put the 14" turbines on that i had refinished last year. with whitewall sides (the car came with whitewalls) but i need 2 new rears for the set. front 2 are already on and balanced so cost would be 80$
i also have these roh rims in my room with a full set of 225 17 tires in the basement.
i do like these rims to look at in my room, i would be worried about them getting damaged or stolen on my car, also id have to pay for a locking kit, tire installation, and spacers as the fronts dont fit all the way.
PLUS i dont want to be the guy who would put nice rims on any peice of **** car. haha
anyway.
id like to see other ghetto fab rides,
and hear and suggestions as the first or cheapest ways to make my car look better.

Here are some older pics of my "not-so-decent looking" '83 SC. Now it is about 60% red-oxide primer, and we will be painting it before winter.

Forgot to add the pics lol....BTW, I've been driving around in this car with the paint like it is and I don't give a crap what other people think! Because I know, one day, it will be a "super-pimpin" ride lol.

my car is pretty quick.. 320hp 355 with 3.73/eaton posi.. She doesnt look like much right now, but she goes like a bat out of hell.. hehe...i have a lot of suspension work to do tho...
Im also toying with the idea of a 383 LT1... my engine guy has one (not assembled) sitting in the back and i could prolly get it (all done) for something around $2500.. with something in the ballpark of 450-500hp on 93 octane pump gas. maybe if i have the money...

Yeah, my car will get up and go pretty quick. It's got a mild 350 in it, so I'm guessing maybe around 325 hp. It'll probably run a low 9 second 1/8 mile. Check the links in my sig for more info if you want.
I've attatched an older pic of the motor, it's got a few more mods on it now though....

Click the link in my sig to see my 3 babies. Well, 2 babies, 1 was a parts car I owned for a month, fixed it, sold it, and ended up making a few bucks.
The dark red RS I just bought, it's got 47k miles, but needs paint, so it looks ghetto fab.
The blue RS is my bitch, damn, I miss that car, and that little bastard I sold it to wont sell it back to me.

you want ugly and unfinished?
How about this? May I present to you...the Smurfmobile.
Don't laugh, it only cost me $1000

I have since put snazzy tires and a bra on to cover up the messed up paint. I'm focusing on the motor right now before I drop the money into the paint job.
We're about 500 miles away from rolling 200K miles.

i got mine off ebay, paid 130$ for them 60 or so for shipping then abouther 50$ for customs to canada.
i LOVE them they look great and keep privacy and the sun out.
however i had them on for a week and they got hit by a basketball and smashed. i fiberglassed them back together but they arent the same.
i have seen some FULL METAL sets on cars i see on the road and in parking lots but they are really rare. the fins of mine are metal, but the sides are plastic. they were made by cragar in 1986. i dont know who made the full metal set.

heres a website for a remake of abs plastic sets. they are closest i can find. seems they have a metal set of the older style uglier louver.

I came to a stop sign there and the castle nut on the ball joint decided to disappear and the front driver side just collapsed on me. The cop was pissed that I wouldn't let him tow it and I was fixing it in the middle of the street.

That's about 40 hours straight labor on the rims, and at least double that on the undercarriage. Lots of work, but it pays off in the end. Now I just gotta find someone to finish the bodywork and paint it without breaking the bank. (I've developed a loathing for bodywork lately)
