Paint ideas?

Any ideas for new paint on my car? I was thinking all black or either black and leave the GFX silver. Or Maybe the top part blue, or all of it. Opinions?

Dude, it's a Gunmetal GTA. Leave it that color or at least keep it a solid color (GTA thing).

I think im just gonna do some body work and repaint it. The top of the car is faded but thats the only bad place.

oh yea, and any opinions on painting the side mirrors black in the mean time? The clear coat bubbled up and came off some on one. So now theres an ugly circle on it

Do your body work and slap a fresh coat of gun metal on that beautiful baby.

just wetsand the clear coat on the mirror so it feathers nicely on the ridge where it came off and reclear it with touchup.. then wetsand with 1500 and buff.. I've been doing this on about 100 spots on my TA that the previous owner screwed up.. looks like new when done.

I agree with the above posts. Leave it gunmetal and do a few coats of clear to make it really shine!

make it all one color. Paint it one of these colors: black, red, orange, purple - not marron, blue. These colors catch me eye and look great. I'm not a fan of gray.

Ditch the emblems and decals. Makes the car look smoother. Unless of course, you like them.

I got rid of all that stuff on my car.. zero emblems, got rid of that ugly protective strip down the sides.. no decals, etc.. looks great.

i'm planning on getting the side moldings. They protect the car from dings and i think they enhance the look a little bit. But thats just me. They look great without also.

I took them off for the repaint.. I don't drive the car much and I try like hell to park FAAAAR away from other cars cause people today are just plain MORONS and could give a rat's butt about someone else and their car. these people don't even really care if their car gets a dent.. f-ing rich people......... lol..

anyways..

I think if my car were lower with the GTA wheels, the lines of the GOOD factory installed strip do give it a longer look. I'm going to be doing some drag racing on the weekends so consider it a "weight savings?" hehe

Gunmetal GTAs are in my opinion the best looking stock GTAs ever made. Keep the color. If you want a little flash, see if they can add a pearl coat to it before clear coating.

Yeah thats what I was gonna say, good idea Jim. Pick your favorite second color that compliments silver, and maybe matches the interior or other accents of the car, and have some pearl added. Blue is a very good match with silver, and a Gunmetal with blue pearl would probably look pretty good. Another idea could be a darker or lighter shade of grey, or even white.
