wow i thought i was being clever....

im doing a complete resto with my cousin on my firebird. and im 16 and didnt know alot of stuff about these cars until a few days ago. we decided to do some subtle changes to make it different. we took out marker lights and wleded in a patch all around. then we took the black bumper guards out and filled them in to make them different. then i realized that i just took my firebird bumpers and made them into trans am bumpers pretty much.

that was dumb.

lol, now you can go to a junkyard and get a T/A bumper so you don't have to deal wiht the inevitable cracking that your patched nose will experience. Also, I don't think removing the side markers is a good idea. At night from the side, your bird will be very tough to see since the taillights don't wrap around and the pop-up lights aren't really seen from a profile.

Not to be negative but I bet within a year your patches will show some sign of stress/wear if it is a daily driver. And being a small town means less street lights and more back roads... sounds like an accident waiting to happen.

Hmm....We'll have to have a little thirdgen get-together some day before the end of summer (or at least good weather, before people take their cars off the road)
