Stupid Door Question:

Here is my STUPID question of the week (and I REALLY want a valid answer, thank you!):

On 3rd gens, are the doors the same between Camaro's and Firebird's? Are there any differences at all?

Any help would be appreciated......I am trying to find some CHEAP doors for my daughter's '87 F-bird, and I am finding Camaro doors to be more plentiful.....

Thank you,

Steve

Well that was pretty stupid, In the time it took you to type all that you could have searched and got 1000+ threads to answer that question.

Just to leave you in suspence after going "HEY! someone replied with an answer!!" (cause i know you did) Im not going to tell you.

Well......

Aren't you just too cool for school.

83_Camaro_83, I will chalk up your rudeness to a lack of manners, civility, and knowledge.

Thanks for your time.

BTW......

......83_Camaro_83,

To correct you again, conducting a search on door interchange in this forum yielded 14 leads.....not "1000+".

https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sea...by=&sortorder=

And for anyone else interested in this answer, from someone who is willing to share what he learned, the answer is YES !

Thanks again......Not!

I have a Firebird Trans AM door on my 1989 IROC-Z, the only difference will be the holes for the ground effects. The Firebird holes are higher on the door, so I had to fill them in.

The Doors.......

My daughter's Firebird doesn't have any ground effects at all.

Now that I have my Camaro and her Firebird side by side (or side by each, as some of my neighbors in the Lewiston area say) I can see that the doors are the same, at least enough to be usable.

Thanks for the reply!
