Dodged A Bullet This Evening!
Hello,
Its been rainy and overcast all day down here. and on the way home I take someone home from school. Well, we get to this road where I turn off to go to his house, and I told him, that I am going to drift through it. And I did just fine. But my one mistake was geetting back centered, and keeping my foot full throttle on the gas. The car snapped around and I found the frond end of my car in a ditch. As the cas snapped around I said "O Sh*t!" then, as soon as the car stopped my friend and I looked at each other and laughed. Luckily I had anoyher friend who came along and pulled me out with his truck. The car is perfectly fine aswell as myself and my passenger. The steering feels a little tighter, but upon inspection of the front suspension everything look fine. I think its all just in my mind about the tighter steering. Anyways, the more I think about it, the stupider I feel for doing something like that when I have a passenger. And I have learned a lesson. Luckily myself my friend and my car all came out just fine!

Whew, close call man. I've had a few of those and I definitely pick my places now because I dont want to lose my baby. I managed to spin out completely in an industrial park with high curbs because I gave it too much brakes trying to plant the nose and lighten up the rear end to slide. The second I transitionned off the brakes and into the gas the rear shot around so fast I almost had no time to react. I ended up stopping facing the other way parked 10" from the curb. I was by myself though playing around
.
Showing off for freinds seems to always get people in trouble. But whats the fun of having a fast, well handling car if you don't stretch its legs once in a while?

Hehe I goosed the throttle in my car in the last rain to swing into a parking spot at an auto parts place. Well, it was a little more slick than I thought it would be because as you know, an auto parts store usually has broken down POS cars that leak every fluid imaginable in the lot. Back end spun around further than I wanted it to so I just pulled into the parking space on the other side of the lot
It was empty other than my friends' vehicles, they were watching through the door when I did it

haha I went to drift around a turn after putting brand new exhaust tips on... went a little wide and nipped the curb with the drivers side tip. It had a 90* dent in it from the curb for the longest time

in my 2.8 in the snow one time i "drifted" against my will into a curb, bending my spindle and forcing my subframe back about a quarter inch. messed up my body, not interior. ended up costing over 1,000 to fix (including having the frame pulled back out) but the car is one of the best handling machines i have driven with all new suspension and steering components (well a year old now) and i learned a lesson, tracks don't have curbs for a reason. nether do most parking lots. i keep my playng safe. empty CURBLESS parking lots or the track.

okfoz, I really couldnt find another fourm to put it in, we need a general discussion or rant forum. I thought about the racing forum, but I wasnt really racing, just trying to "test the cars limits", lol. Anyways, I looked at it again today, and under my front bumper is scratched up really bad, and my erm....(gah, cant think of the name of it for anything right now), thing the oil pan sits on is scratched up. I also learned that when you put a Camaro into a ditch there is not alot of places to hook a chain up to. And every place I found looked like if it had GFX the chain would have torn them off.
