how do you get rivets out ive tried drilling them but it goes no where, just spins on top of the rivet from the back side, but when you hit the face it will drill thru but the pieces still dont come out

You're doing something wrong. Are you using a large enough diameter drill bit? Did you remember to knock out the center steel pin with a punch first? If the rivet spins just hold it with a needle nose pilers or Vise-Grip.

You should be able to drill out the rivit in under 30 seconds.
