They can be taken apart.... I have 2 and have disassemble them a couple times.... When you take off the Middle A/C trim they are right there a couple clips and/or bolts holding them in.

There is a place by me called Techncar. They had two left, one of each part number for the GTA. I don't know if they can get mopre or not but I will check for you if you like. You need to pull you cluster since it is on exchange basis. the part numbers for the 88 GTA are 25086564 or 25086563. The 64 part number works with the high output which I think is the 350 since that is what my buddy has. They will have the 63 part number left. I will see if they7 have more.

I also have found other places that repair digitals on the web.

I know we seem to be anti-dealer on these pages, but your local gm dealer usually has access to reman clusters or can have yours sent out and repaired. The repair facility we use does as medic suggested, on an exchange basis, unless they don't have any on the floor in which case you send yours in and they will repair it. Even if the dealer marks up the work, you should be able to get it done for between $250-350.00. If you can find out who they use, sometimes you can bypass the dealer and save a few bucks. Many dealers don't mind giving out that info if it means they don't have to hassle with an older car like ours. Plus the repair/exchange facilities should warrant their work for at least 90 days and some will warranty it for a year.

Thank you QuickMedic and Vaneat-91RS for your assistance. Good info. The dash in my GTA is working for now but has spells during which some features do not function. I'm presently suspecting a loose connection somewhere. It's always something but I will prevail. Another Phoenix!!! Thanks again, Dave

Re: digital dash help

I recently used Technicar in Tampa Florida to get another digital dash for someone. All the dealers in my area use them. $200 for any repairs with a 1 year warranty.
