Lets get this topic going! I would love to see some SS badges on 3rd gens.... But there should be some certain modifications that one must have in order to make their car a SS. It would get old seing a bunch of 3rd gens with SS Badges that have a V6 or No ground effects.

if my 91 still had the 3.1l in it and didn't have a ss hood on it i wouldn't even think about putting the badges on it! i think a later model ss hood with an 69 hugger orange paint wold look great! wonder how 69' ss emblems would look?
i'm moving the rs over to my brother's house today hopefully i'll have some before pics for you tonight!

I can dream of those SS badges in place of my RS badges.
Can't wait (but will have to wait a while).
BTW josh, when I bought my RS the front spolier was also cracked on the corners. Usual of these cars.
Good luck with the engine build and the paint job!

Excerpt from http://www.classiccarsofne.com/muscl...vy_camaro.html about the 1967 Camaro:
<i>It was possible to order both the RS and SS packages, and get a RS/SS Camaro, in which case the RS badging took precedence.</i>
I was thinking there was an RS/SS Badge from this era, geuss not.
PS Mike, sorry about the name comfusion.

ok so all you do is clean up your original emblem and paste these onto your existing? thats cool it would make the emblems look more factory than the 2000something silverado ss emblems would!!

Spectre , sorry but i have always loved cherry apple red!!(yeah i did say hugger orange but my dad and bro changed my mind) i'm putting the ss emblems on because #1 chevy didn't make an ss in our years #2 i have never seen a third with ss emblems #3 i like to be different, and everyone has a white rs with a v6! how many people do you know that has a 91' cherry apple red ss camaro? i agree with you though it needs to have a built up drivetrain. 355ci vortec heads(with hopefully 2.02) 292 cam flat tops, edelbrock rpm vortec intake, edelbrock 600 carb shorty headers flowmaster exhaust, 700r4 and hopefully (if i can find one with a descent price) a posi unit for the rear. this of course is a list of things i "plan" on doing any suggestions are warmly welcome! mike

http://www.autografics.com/pages/camos3.htm they run from $15 to $30 with different colors to reflective. full outside sets(2 rocker panel and one rear bumper) wish they had one for the dash though! i wonder if you can special order a single one?

as far as the ss badges not looking right, yeah, they never came on a thirdgen, but it still looks unique and sort of custom. thats kind of like saying putting a V8 into a 6 car is lame, because it didnt come with an 8

like i said before! i have never seen another 3rd gen ss camaro i live in oklahoma! it would be definitely one of a kind! if i were putting t/a badges on my camaro or z28 badges on a firebird i think that woyuld be crazy but camaro DID make an ss! i have seen z28 emblems on camaros that in their year didn't even make a z28! i think (my oppinion) is that this is no different than a z28 clone that by the way some sell for outrageous prices (alot are the 1st gen camaros) check out tpiroc and tell me he doesn't have an awsome looking "ss"
i think the rims do alot for it though!!!!!!
