Im new to this board and need to replace my whole interior on my t/a and am gona start with seats I would like to go aftermarket and was wondering if any aftermarket seats fir in the rear or if there is a rear bracket. Thanks

To tell you the truth, I dont know of any aftermarket rear seats, out there. I was searching for the same thing, for an 89 Camaro. I was wanting to replace the whole interior of mine, cause I am giving the car to my daughter for her 16th Birthday. I have found that it is actually about the same cost to recover the factory seats, and you also get the colors you want.

 

4th gen seats

 

I think your only options for rear seats are the 4th gen ones. Or get the old ones recovered.

 

At some point in time, Recaro made a rear seat package for 3rd gens, a friend of mine bought an '86 IROC a few years back and it had front & rear black leather Recaro seats.

 

4th gen seats or one of the aftermarket seat covers for 3rd or 4th gen. Other option and best price I have located is leather through leatherseats.com....700 maybe plus a few now or 300ish for fabric from others. I dont know who makes the best factory replacement and new butt cushion is not available...mine be sorta thin feeling even with my skinny stuff sitting on it.

 

Swap in a set of 4th gen trans am seats.
