Engine Compartment Cleanup

Well I finally made a little progress on my junk. I cleaned up and painted the engine compartment. Came out okay in my opinion. Still neesd a couple more coats. I have about $30 invested in it for paint, laquer thinner, wire wheel.

no man it was one of the ugliest cars yovue ever seen, lol. cant beat an $800 car that you drive onto and off of the trailer, and sell parts off the car for $950 and still have a body, 4" glass hood, draglights, panhard bar and lower control arms

The whole car was in horrible condition, this was just the first step. all of the interior is out, the doors are off, bumpers are off, every wire and hose and carpet and panel etc EVERYTHING is off of the car.

nah... its gonna be a race car (tehcnically, itll only race, but its not going to be certified). i want it to look decent, but low budget. My whole budget is to run 9's for 6k.. i think i got it covered as long as i dont get side tracked making stuff too nice lol

Got a point......

If you really have it as striped as you said get it blasted. Remeber to go fast you gotta be light. So blast off all that sound deadining, undercoat. Everything. THen just give it a light and i mean light coat. Also on the underside try and spray it dry. Itll help the air under your car get out of from under it. NASCAR trick for superspeedways. That and itll help you when your welding on Sub frames and roll cages. Not to mention how good itll look. Try and look for a sand blasting pot if and do it yourself.
