Project Iroc Restoration

Added lots of information, finally got the motor out, dropped the rear. The process of rebuilding the rear suspension begins while the motor shop starts work on the new 350.

Going to replace the 305 with a 350, headers and exhaust.

convert to rear disc brakes, new weatherstripping etc...

I have to replace the pass. side floorpan, redo the interior.

I am going to repaint the car, I was thinking doing a color change, but now I think I will stay with the same color. I like it, just not as much as blue, but /shrug.

I have been pretty happy with the teardown so far, havent found any rust that I didnt know was there. Only reason passenger side floor pan is rusted out is because of leaky t-tops

oh well, not a hard fix.

I have the motor ready to come out now, just ran out of time the last time I was home. Should be back next weekend, get her yanked out and work on getting the engine bay cleaned up.

It will be a 87-95 block, .030 over, Flattop HE pistons. Gonna use 083 heads ported and polished, and a ZZ4 Cam. Gonna put Hooker 2055's and Flowmaster American Thunder Catback with a Highflow 3" Cat.

I plan on using the Stock TPI setup for now (mainly due to $$)

I will upgrade to a highflow base, runners etc... down the road.

Obviously I will be upgrading to 22lb injectors and a 350 prom as well.

Got some stuff coming from Classic Industries and New Headers on order as well.

BTW, I cant say enough good things about Summit. I ordered Sunday evening, and the stuff got here today. Simply amazing! Free Hat and Decals as well, plus a $20 off coupon from my next order.
