how to open cowl hood??

how to open cowl hood??

Well i bought a cowl hood from bruce on hawks third gen, And cant find were to put the spring. Has any one come across this problem ? Thanks eric

sounds like u bought a lift off hood! you'll have to pin it
if thats the case

Not necessarily. Some manufacturers don't drill the holes in the fiberglass for the spring mounts. My Harwood came with holes (and little brackets) for the spring, but they were in the wrong place. I had those holes filled when the car was painted and drilled new ones.

It is a bolt on hood, i am on a little head ach with the spring. it doesnt have anything for the spring to mount on. Anything? Thanks for replying guys -Eric

i would call bruce at hawks and ask him .

spring

i have one and don't need the spring just pull the latch then go and grab the hood in the headlight pocket and lift up until the latch catches it then pull the lever to raise the hood.
