who got the cheaper paint?

who got the cheaper paint?

i only have a few spots that need repainted.so i'm trying to find out which co. is the cheapest way to go.i need about a quart or two.

if you're only touching it up you wont need more than a quart. i painted a whole car with only 2 quarts (yes it was cutting it really close though). and the stuff i bought was the top-line product from Auto Color ($80/quart i think it was)

the cheap stuff is the same as the good stuff basically if your doing your whole car, but for touch up they recomend to use the good stuff for better color matching. i painted my whole car two tone black and white and did body work too it and only spent 400 dollars. i used sherwin williams product 4th dimension paints. if you wanna see the quality do a search for my topics

nason paint is not bad.. a pint is all u should need thats like 15 bucks. than a quart of clear like 35.



How is that sherwin williams paint ? Ever time i hear someone talking about there paint its never good things

well what i need it for is drivers door .and both side rockers.also there is sopme places where the cc came off but paint is ok can i just cc those places?

Of course it will depend on your color, Red is by far the most expensive...

I have had good luck matching colors with Dupont & Sherwin Williams, bad luck with PPG, but it may have been the particular colors I was working with.

One trick is to actually paint a panel up to a seam. I have also had good luck by taking tape and folding it over backwards so that there is no hard tape line.

the top color is called lgt.royal blu met.the bottom is med roy.blu met.just can't seem to find them anywhere.

Any good automotive paint store should be able to mix it for you, they should have books that go back that far...
