In desperate need of help!

Ok,
I just replaced the seals for my t-tops. New on the car,new on the tops and a new center molding. I have a leak right at the front of the center molding. There are two spaces molded into the new seals(all GM btw) right between the body above the windshield and the center molding. Water is POURING into the car! I used 3M weatherstripping adhesive as per the instructions. I really don't want to Jury rig it with silicone. Any ideas? Also,(sorry) A friend of mine gave me a set of lexan tops. On the ends, the are spring loaded tappered collars that fit the peg receivers in the car. The tops that came with the car(glass) however, just have the steel bar,no collars. Seems like these collars "center" the tops into the receivers. I tried to put these collars onto my glass tops but they cannot be installed due to the design of the bars on my glass tops. Could these be the wrong tops for my car? The lexan tops have a care sticker placed on the inside from GM and also a year 1989 which is the year of my car. And finally the passenger side top doesn't seem to "pull down" towards the new seals. On the outside of the top,(where the black molding is)its flush front and back. At the center molding its good. but inbetween it seems to be bowed up away from the car. Driverside is flush all around.I tried to adjust the peg receivers up and down but the middle of the top front and back is still above the windshield and the back roof. Any help would be greaty appreciated. Thanks for reading.

Ok a little up date, fixed the leak. However I still need some info about those tops.I did a search and it says their were two different top latches. I have both the plain metal peg and also the 3/4" spring loaded ends. Were there different receivers for the different tops? Call me crazy but I think that they would have come up with a better design for my glass tops than a 3/8" piece of metal rod going into a 3/4" plastic hole to hold the tops down. Any ideas about the passenger side top bowing away from the roof?

In the directions you need to use window ribbon to bridge a gap between the the channel on the roof and the channnel on the a-pillar.( do a search on the net chevy hi pro has some good pics.) I had a small space so the water would run into the car right at the corner of the DS a-pillar right above your head. I also put some into the front center of my new centermolding. I think part of the problem wash the 3M weatherstripping glue. I glued as instructed and I let it dry overnite. When I found the leak the next day,the new WS just peeled right up. Didn't hold anything. I reglued it so I'll see what happens now. So far,so good, no leaks.
