Race Seats
I am looking for some ideas on some race seats for my 91 firebird. I am a bigger/taller guy and this car is my summer car that is driven on the street. I have sat in some race seats that I could only stand if I was going to the store and back. I like seats that hug you, but are also comfortable and look good (I have grey and black interior). Any suggestions? I am also thinking about removing the back seats. Any difficulties in removing the rears or the fronts? Pictures would be nice.

Rear seats are easy to pull out. The cushions are held in by a bolt in the front middle of them. The back rest is a torx bolt I think. They should just fold down and unbolt and lift out.
The front removal is also fairly easy. You should have plastic covers on them that you need a phillips screw driver for. Remove that then remove the nut on the floor stud on each of the corners. And they should lift up off the studs. It's easier if you adjust the slider to take advantage of the extra room for which ever one you're working on (front or rear).
I would recommend a nice padded seat that is reclineable so it can adjusted to your height. I sat in some fiberglass buckets before and IMO they should be avoided like the plague.
Theres a few different members that have swapped to various brands if you search around a little bit you should find plenty of posts.

I'm rather large (5'9" 250lbs, 40" waist) and I can't say enough about the Flo Fit seats I put in my GTA. Unfortunately, Flo Fits are getting hard to find.
In the near future, I may try a set of these in my Corvette:

I just recently became a dealer for these, but I haven't actually tried them yet to know if bigger guys like me will fit into them ok. I can't imagine they'll be any worse than my stock Corvette seats.

Those Flo Fits are really nice. I have never seen them before.
I just picked up the Summit cheapies ($170 ea) (p/n:sum-g1159) and am actually pretty happy with them. They dont hug you as well as I would like, but are pretty snug (I'm about 5'9", 220). They bolted up to the factory sliders with only a little fabrication and made the inter look 100x better. I also have a gray&black interior.
Good:
Look nice
Good quality for the price
Easy install
CHEAP
Nice fit on a bigger person
Bad:
Heavier than stock seats
Provides poor support on thin people
Sits a little higher than stock seats (takes some getting used to, tall people might hit head on roof)
Overall: Im much happier with them than my stock, plain seats

No, sorry, no camera, but I see there is a thread involving them in the body/interior portion of the forum. There is a picture of one in somebodys car in there. The link is below:
