Rusted out

Buying an 84 for 200

no eng. or tranny

there's some rust in the engine bay....

could i cut some of that out and weld sheet metal... bang the **** out of it to get the shape right, or should i cut the whole area out of a scrap car and weld in?

not worried about it looking good at all

Take your pick, both will work, though be sure to work fast with the welder.

lol yea but im only 16

and want a project to work on that doesnt involve my 89 which is mint

cuz my 1st car my dad totaled which was supposed to be my car that i learn how to weld and learn how to bondo on

well..... my 89 is MINT so im like i want soemthing to do and work on

it's more geared for a learning experiance on how to weld and bondo... and i got my dad who'se been welding and doing bondo for 30 years over my shoulder

this is going to keep me occupied for the summer hopefully

so.. headaches are good

have a hole like that.

Umm.. I think Cadillac has the right idea here. Cars like that often have cracked frames and shiz. Maybe you shoud just get some body parts and fly at it. Heck, get yourself a couple fenders and see what cool stuff you can do and sell 'em Or a hood..

Is this car strictly for practice with welding and bondo or are you planning to do something with it such as race it or show it?

Id give the guy $50 for it. The last rusted car I bought didnt look that bad on the outside. But reveled massive holes in the passanger floorboard amd liscense plates in the drivers floor board. Gotta love them leaking T-Tops!!

I belive most body shops replace the whole inner wheel well when it gets rust holes
