Jim85IROC - The fog light switch pics you asked for
Hey Jim, you asked for a couple of pics of my fog light location on my '85 IROC-Z. I've attached them here. If you need something else, or different angles, just say the word. I've not seen one in this location either, but I know it's correct on this car >>

Possible a dealer install later? I know on new dodge trucks when the dealer installs fogs on a car that didnt come equiped with them, the switch is in a different location that if it came from the factory with it.
No dealer installations - The car came like this. I have pictures of the car from when the guy first brought it home. Not digital of course :-) The car's build sheet also shows "T96 Fog Lamps", so it didn't come without them.

Bizarre. The fog light switch in my 85 IROC is just below the headlight switch with an "on" and "off" graphic above and below (Midwest, according to the graphic, your switch is upside down). My rear wiper switch is located where your fog light switch is. Here's a pic of both:

FYI, the wiper switch has a bezel, but not the fog light switch (take the fog light switch out and the bezel is there but if placed on the outside of the switch panel, the bezel would cover the "on/off" graphics). GM, good grief!

This is why I asked for pictures.
I knew that the early 85s had a different switch than the rest, presumably because the fog lights were a last minute idea and GM didn't have time to tool up for the in-dash style that most of us have.
HOWEVER... yours is different than the other "under dash" fog light switches that I've seen on other early 85s. I've never seen one flushed into the lower dash panel like yours. I need to dig through my pics, but I believe I have a pic somewhere of an under-dash image
Mike, can you share the build date of your car?
Thanks again for the pics!

Hmmm ... Now I'm starting to wonder! The switch would appear to be upside down, which would lead me to suspect it had been messed with at one time or another.
The original owner told me that nothing had been changed, but I don't claim to know anything other than what he's told me. He's an honest guy, but if the car has ever been to a dealership for service, Lord know what could have happened
