shaving key locks but not handles

shaving key locks but not handles and adding keyless entry! i have power locks in a set of dors i got off my parts car but i want to know what would be the best way to wire them up since im not too good at electrical stuff and wondered if this has been done much? i think it would look good. im not to much on the doors shaved of handles though. give me some feed back how do you like the iidea!?

It's been done before and I think it looks pretty good. I suppose you would just wire up the keyless entry as you normally would. And just remove the rods from the lock cylinder.

i figured it would look pretty good another reason why im doing it is on the driverside im missing that lil black ring that goes around the lock so that kinda bothers me too. my main thing is wireing up the locks since my car originaly only had power windows w/o power locks and like i said im not too great at stuff like that. would it be better to take it all to a place that will instal a kelley entry and get them to wire it all up for me? then when i go to paint it do the rest myself!?

Yeah I'd go that route. It's a bit of work to install power locks and do the wiring properly- shouldn't cost toooo much money.

i think its a good idea also think how many drunk people try to get into their cars and try to unlock it and scratch the crap out of the door lol

thats why i dont do that!!! also i have a feeling that my new car is going to spoil me with the keyless entry

well i started removing bummpers and gfx's today got front bummper off and the front fender gfx and tomarrow im gona do the rest and get some bondo to fill in the pin size holes that were left from removing my door protector strip. ill go ahead and remove my antenna too! i talked to my buddy who is going to paint it we are gona try and get it done very soon.

I shaved my locks along with the antenna and rear window squirter. I think it looks so much cleaner. I always use my keyless entry so the locks on the doors were kind of redundent.

just shave em completely off or do nothing . i think the extra work for none would be nice . most people may not even notice it anyway . what about flush door handles.
