Help with Outer Window Trim!
I need to replace the black trim piece that runs along the outside of the windows on both doors. Does anyone know if Classic Industries carries this piece?

Thanks,
Joe

Anybody who carries weatherstripping will carry it. Classic Industries, Year One, Hawks, 1AAuto and dozens of others all have it. On ebay you can still find new GM ones, which means that Midwest Muscle and TPIparts.net might have them too.

it is impossible to remove those with the door pannels on. i did mine when i painted my car, theyre kinda a bitch. i got mine new from GM, think they were 98 for both. anyway, remove the door pannel, remove the mirror, unbolt and move the triangle by the mirror, then theres like 12(i think) 7mm screws to get out. i used a wrench cause its tight. i also removed the window stops so i could pull the window outa the way a lil, makes it easier. some of the holes on my new GM ones didnt line up with the holes in the door, i had to drill new ones. theyre a bitch to do but def worth it once its done.

You have to remove the door panel
loosen the felt window guides
remove the black triangle piece

PITA job, but well worth it. Your inside door bottoms and maybe even the backs of your door panels will thank you for keeping water and debris out of the door cavity.

To those who have a Classic Industries magazine:
Is it part #G7962 and G7963? (on page 249 of the F2007 catalog).
Thanks,
Joe
