rear bumper impact bar

do you guys no where i can get a new one at?? ive searched but have not yet found any? also how do you remove the impact asorbers because as far as i can see there riveted on??

I thought someone was making them, or could get reproductions I can't remember. There was a thread on here a while back about these, and yes, the absorbers are riveted on.

If they're riveted you could possibly drill out the rivets, and replace with bolts. Just a thought.

a guy with a camaro/firebird junkyard near me ordered me a reproduction one. worked out perfect, i think it was like 80 bucks or so. If you want i can get you contact info and see if he ships out things. the new

you are talking about the metal bumper that rusts out on a lot of the 3rd gens right?

yes thats that im talking about unfortinatly though mines been hit so its smashed/pinched on one side if you could find out the info for me that would be great.

thats it. 4 bolts hold that to the car and a few rivets held the the plastic absorber to that.

i need to order another one of those myself.

I have a car that was hit in the rear quarter but that metal impact absorber that rots out is still good. If anybody wants it and lives in near flint MI I'll give it to you for $10 if you get it yourself.

i ordered mine right through kestone automotive, the aftermarket crash parts people, it was only like 40 bucks my cost i think list was like 68 or so
