Axle/Gears: Stock Rear End
Spohn SCF Install?

Im looking into getting some SFC's, ive been looking at the 1982-1992 F-Body Sub-Frame Connectors I came across soome threads saying there a PITA to install, i was wondering if anyone had any tips, advice, or recomendations. thanks

Weld them in yourself or have a friend weld them in. Follow the instructions(Spohn's gives instructions), have wheel ramps, have a big bucket of water.

so does that mean its an easy job to do it yourself?

I don't know, its time consuming. I had a friend do the welding, I held the sfc's in place, I grinded down the welds to make them look nice. It was easier with 2 people working, I think. And 2 people trying to figure out what to do.

Welding underneath a car with not a lot of room is probably the part that sucks.

do you know how to weld?

do you have a grinder or some other powertool to take off the undercoating and to prep the car?

do you have access to a welder?

do you have jackstands/tall ramps?


if the answer is yes to all of that, then its a piece of cake...

mine went in really easily. bolted up and lined up perfectly. couldnt have asked for an easier install

yea, you're all set then..

its not hard, but most of the people on here are missing atleast one thing from that list.
