where are all the gas tanks

Axle/Gears: 2.73 Posi
where are all the gas tanks

i was wondering where all the gas tanks go at the junkyards every thirdgen has the parnard rod riped out and the gas tank is missing everyone..do they use the for differnt reasons

normally they are tossed or sold off. it's a liability to have a car laying around with them but this isn't true at all yards.

i thought they were used for race cars or something cuz there almost square..

Alot of the yards I go to punch a hole in the gas tanks and drain the fuel out.I got one out of a 1987 Iroc TPI car with electric fuel pump for 25.00 Aparently they missed punching a hole in that one
