accident damaged REPAIRED!!!!! my 1992 Camaro

I got my Camaro back if u recall from Dec. 3rd 2006 my car was in a small accident where an old lady hit my car w/ an excursion while i was gettin a pepsi. For those who didn't remember here is a link to that conversation https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/auto...camaro-rs.html

BEFORE

AFTER

The Car went in on Feb. 12 2007, got it back Feb. 21 2007, lol the accident was Dec. 3 2006, do the math and i waited a long time for it to get fixed. December and January was the months people were hitting deer w/ their cars here in Wyoming =(. Guy did a beautiful job but it looks **** cuz the paint doesn't match the 16 year old paint. I plan to paint it Red w/ Black Heritage Edition Stripes. They billed the insurance company $1100, i payed $1800 for the car in November 2006 lol. Damn old lady and their tanks!

Here are the pics of the whole car, only that section was damaged. I'll get a pic of the car tomorrow the damaged repaired

Before accident pic

as u can tell i need a new paint job BAD. it would cost about $2000-2500 to paint it they way i wanted, taken to bare metal and start over. the paint job would be Red w/ Black stripes.

Try having the paint buffed out by a pro first. The paint is oxidized badly, thats it. I have buffed many red cars out and they look amazing after-ward.

The difference really makes you appreciate a new red paintjob though. At least it's fixed, Here in Michigan you'd have been out of pocket. No Fault sucks.

Is that the same bottle of pepsi on your hatch that you were gettin when it got hit?

The car looks like it's in good shape for how old it is. At least you don't have to worry about repairing horrible quarter panels and dents all over the car.

Dont the shops in Wyoming know how to lighten paint to match or is that a Virginia thing. Color is way off. Doesnt it **** you off, they paint car and you have to live with the mismatch crap.

You would have been better off trying to find some used already oxidized parts.Maybe they would have matched better and you would have a few extra $ in your pocket

$1100? That paint shop consists of a bunch of criminals. A used red bumper and side spoiler piece would be $75 and match alot better. They should have used the other $1000 to blend that paint.

Good work!

After wreck and after repair. In total, accident cost me 325 for parts, 225 for radiator pull, and 450 for paint + alot of time. Oh yeah, then last tuesday someone dented the fender in a park and ride lot....

sigh at least now I have leftover parts.

Don't get my wrong guys, I wasn't trying to bust his chops over it.
It's just been forever since I've seen a stock height shifter and I was in a bit of shock.
I hacked mine (on the RS) the day I bought it and my 'bird as well...
