Blinker / Ram-Air

I was wondering if anyone has done this, I want to move the blinkers down in to the solid inserts and replace them with Air intakes directed to my dual snorkel air cleaner.... Would it work? has anyone done it, got pics?

may not move them, just cut them down so instead of having a 200mm wide blinker it will have a 100mm wide blinker and a 100mm wide air intake.

It took me minute to understand what you're talking about, but I see now. What I've seen before on cars is that they put the blinkers next to the foglights. Of course you might have to cut out the hole in the bumper to fit both a foglight and a blinker. Actually, now that I think about it. I was planning to put two small round foglights per hole in my T/A instead of a long rectangular one like this [OO] instead of |[__]| . You can do something similar and make one the blinker and one the foglight.
Now, as far as the ram air part, now that you have a big square space where the blinkers were, you can just modify a Camaro duel snorkel easily. Maybe you can even my alittle "grille" inserts so the holes wont be obvious...

I know with the Dual snorkel from the Camaro there are ment to be hight problems over the rad but i have just got a set of Dual Thermo fans off of a late model Aussie V8, They flow around 2,700CFM that is great compared to my current Jap 1,700CFM Dual Thermos.
Back to the point i have to make a completely new mounting bracket out of 2.5mm Stainless steal i have left over from my Custom Air-Dam so that should give me a bit of clearence over the OEM top rad mount.
I may evan make a custom induction setup out of 2 20x150mm square s/steal tubes directed back to the air-cleaner.

Duno yet, im trying to improve performance now so when i get my new engine it will run sweet. Any different Idears or pictures would be great!

Well I think you pretty much got it. Anything like a dual snorkel setup would work. I recently extended my cold air intake out of the engine bay so now the filter hangs in front of the front wheel. I would see a clearance problem with the stock hood and the radiator mount. Do you have any pics of the steel air dam? I've thought about doing something different possibly with metal, but I'm just afraid it will get bent up with all the dings and dangs it experiences...

Aw cool. I was actually thinking about a different mod, I was thinking of putting on a hinge and incorporate some sort of spring, so every time I hit something, it would just bend and the spring will bring it back into shape. But I definitely like the "razor-blade" air dam you have going there...is it effective? How is the operating temperature?

well on a 12/13'C morning the car only turnes the fan on when it is stoped for a period of time, when moveing it dosnt need them but on a hot day (with my old fans @ 1700CFM) around 40'C day moving with one fan on it sits around 200/210'F and both fans on around 170'F (100Kmh on express way) But that is when it was bent up in thoes pictures, I havent realy taken notice since i bent it down it was only on the road for 3 days after I changed it.
My main problem with the temp is at lights and slow traffic, When moving she ran great. That is why i got the new Dual Thermo Fans also looking into a GM Alloy Replacement Raidaitor Are they any good? they look exactly like the copper one exept they are alloy with plastic tanks.

My car only has the stock dual electric fans. I'm not sure what the settings and stats are but its rare that they ever come on...Only, of course, when in very slow traffic and during long lines at drive-thrus or the drag strip. The previous owner installed an all copper radiator, I believe, so it transfer heat well. Since my cooling system works fine, I've never thought about switching fans. But I'll have to keep an eye out next I visit the boneyards...

I have had heaps of overheating problems i think it is 60% due to my old radiator, i have heard these cars had a bad rap for over heating.
