Slow blinkers/dim lights

My blinkers slow down and my lights dim a little when I sit at a light, my voltage drops as well(very low). When I rev the engine the lights speed up and become brighter, and the voltage raises. edit: my car has never died from this.

Does it sound like my alternator [is] the problem? It is only a year old. Im too lazy to pull it off and test it without some opinions =p

I'm having the same exact problem with my 86. Fresh battery, plugs and distributor were added recently, to no avail. I'm guessing its the alternator, but I'm not sure either...anyone have any idea???

What does a typical replacement alternator run for an 86? Also, autozone checks it for free?

I never trust Autozone with anything, they send people to us when they cant do something right. The alternator I was looking at yesterday was 100 dollars for a lifetime warranty, thats all I buy anymore. BTW the Autozone here is a bunch of guys that hardly speak english and dont know jack.

Depending on what kind of warranty you want, they run about 70-110 at CSK.
