Any one know the factory code for t-tops?
I'm finding all kinds of strangeness when working on my tops & starting to wonder if they were installed aftermarket.
I have trim caps on all 4 corners (kinda T shaped) that need replacing,& no one else seems to have, & the seal that the glass sits on is a felt, not rubber as other people tell me theirs are.
I ordered complete seal kit but have nothing to reseal this front & back glass contact area?????? Was leaking like Niagara Falls.
Any Ideas????

it's possible they are the C&C aftermarket t-tops.

As Jay suggested they could be C&C tops,which the factory used on some cars,but were also installed by outside shops.Hurst was another aftermarket supplier to outside shops.The RPO code for the factory T-tops is CC1 but I'm not sure if the C&C tops carried the same RPO.Have you checked your SPID decal to see if T-tops are on there?

When I clicked on the link you posted ***BAM*** there are the caps etc. that everyone says don't exist!
It's kind of embarrassing that I actually work for General Motors here in Canada & they had no idea?????
I tripped over this site a couple of months ago after I bought my GTA back that was showroom condition 10 years ago totally destroyed & thought that maybe someday I might find something usefull here.

Welcome. I had an 87 with the C&C tops so I had that site book marked. The caps and felt you described sounded like what were on my 87.

i'm pretty sure it won't unfortunately. The C&C tops are actually smaller ( front to back ) than the factory tops are.

 

Once again you know your stuff.
I laid them out on top & the new T-top & end seals are longer than mine.
I Guess I have a set of seals for sale

Where can you get replacement glass or plastic t-tops? And install guide?

 

I got mine from tgautomotive.com .
Learn from me & make sure you know the manufacturer of your tops before purchasing parts.Most are Fisher but not all.
