Does anyone know what modifications are needed to make an '82-'90 rear impact bar fit a '91 Camaro? I just called them to order one, and they said their third gen bar only fits through '90. I looked at the pic in the catalog, and it sure looks like the rusty POS that's on my car! The only difference with a '91-'92 rear bumper AFAIK is that the bottom gfx-like piece is more flared...therefore, do I need to add shims to make the bumper fit this bar? Am I missing something?

The car is in my body shop right now, and I need to figure this out ASAP...I don't want to fix my rusty POS bar...any help is appreciated!

Thanks soooo much...I just ordered it. So, I wonder why the Paddock has one that fits 82-92, yet CI's fits 82-90?? Maybe CI is retarded?

Yeah, they charge their apparently-usual $19.95 shipping, plus a $34.95 OS charge. Oh well...I could have my original one sandblasted and repainted for under the $135 I spent, but I feel better knowing I put a new piece on versus doctoring up a rusty old one. I can't wait to finish this car!

 

Classic industries is a piece of ****, they have worst customer service EVER and they quadruple what it would cost them to ship it and charge you, plus there catalog is real inaccurate, youll see listings for one thing, then later in the catalog listings that say it only fits certain stuff, they dont know what the **** there doing, unfortunate they stockpiled the GM parts making them the dealer basically.

 

I've only placed 1 order with CI, and it was out of necessity...I try to NEVER use them. They charged me $21 shipping for 4 decals! I know they're a**holes...but that one time, I needed to use them. Thankfully, everything from console lids to hood insulation I've still been able to get from my local dealer...

 

Gm lists only one and it fits 82-92 Part number 10036273. CI isn't what it used to be now they have a bunch of morons working for them.
