Re: door moldings

Fishing line and Gum&Tar Remover

Beware your paint is likely to mismatch because the area under the moldings was not hit by the sunlight for the years

REMOVING THE door moldings

Use a hair dryer to heat the glue first to help soften it.

Re: door moldings

In the middle of the day when the car has warmed up nicely on the outside, just start pulling from one end and pull it off slowly making sure to get as much gunk off with the molding as possible, it's really just double sided tape. The paint shouldn't come off with the strip unless you do this on a really cold day or it's already in bad condition. Fishing line may work too, I'd just use it to get the edge up though. There's many ways to do it, just takes a little care. The only given is that you will need some gunk remover.
