Front Emblem
So, I have to replace the Camaro emblem on the nose clip. I tried to pry the old one off but cannot get it. Any ideas on how to get the *%^& thing off? Also, what adhesive is recommended? This emblem didn't come with anything. Thanks people!

Re: Front Emblem
Humm, my 85 IROC had a speed nut on the backside of the emblem. I had to remove the black plastic piece, the one that surrounds the hood latch, etc., in order to remove/replace the emblem.

Re: Front Emblem
mine was held on by a few nuts, very easy to get to crawling up under the car or removing the filler panel.
if ya need a new one or if your's has seen better days, modern day muscle has a nice selection. think i'm gonna pick a few things up from them soon.

Re: Front Emblem
Sure enough, two nuts behing the nose clip under the air filters. Thanks you all, I probably never would've thought of that.

Re: Front Emblem
Mine was just double sticky tape, like the side strips. I've never seen a 3rd piece held on with nuts.

Re: Front Emblem
The original ones were held on with nuts, I have removed many. IMHO it is easier to replace them with double sided tape, most people just rip them from the front bc and the plastic studs break off, hence no studs.

Re: Front Emblem
Modern Day MUSCLE has several color combinations. Under $30. 3m makes the double sided tape that body shops use fr emblems. Anything else might not stick as well. If you remove the emblem and it has tape on it then it is not the original emblem. OEM's are mounted by two bolts accesable from under the car.

Any held on with tape have most likely been previously removed.
