will a 91 fender fit my 84?

i need a fender and theres a 91 firebird at the boneyard, also how much of the front end is removable on the firebird, my whole passengerside is pushed in like 2 inchs or so too much, part of what looks like a front fame and front core support are messed up

seems like this is a pretty simple thing, i know camaro fenders are too short. im just trying to confirm that the 2 fenders will interchange.

No, I think GM changed the 91-92 birds too much that they are not compatible with the older stuff. But a true Firebird person would know more.
I was able to use an '83 Camaro fender on my '91 by adding two slots at the bottom for the ground effects.

Re: will a 91 fender fit my 84?

I have the parts to go the other way... some 84 TA fenders in the shed which I need to someday replace on my 91 Fromula...

I would venture to guess they're 99% compatible...

The front end is different on 82-84's, 85-90's, and 91-92's Firebirds. I have no idea if they're compatible.

Re: will a 91 fender fit my 84?

The fender will fit. Since your Firebird doesn't have ground effects you might have to fill in a few holes on the side if the new fender comes from a ground effects car.

Re: will a 91 fender fit my 84?

Yes, from 82-92, all the fenders will interchange. It is when the ground fx get involved, is when things get different. Slots vs no slots. Bolt holes vs no bolt holes, etc.

Bt the fenders themselves, will swap. You might have to cut/drill new holes for the fx, or fill some, if you aren't running fx at all.

Same for the Camaros, 82-92.

Re: will a 91 fender fit my 84?

Didn't wana make a new thread so figured I'd search and I was wondering if that means that 89 Firebird fenders will fir a 84 Camaro??? The guy selling them said they won't work since the Firebird had a smaller nose, but I think they might fit. Anybody know?!?!
